As an Industrial Designer working with Lab126 you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design and bring to market innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

The Candidate:

We are looking for a designer to join our team. You should be diligent, curious, and fun to work with. Besides the opportunity to have a profound impact on the future of reading, you have a chance to work with and learn from Silicon Valley veterans in a fast paced environment. You should have a background in Concept development, 3D Modeling and CAD to help us create the next generation of the Amazon Kindle. Lab 126 is a complete product development company with hardware, software, product design engineering, and industrial design groups. The industrial design team is responsible for creating the look and feel of all Amazon.com branded products.

Required Experience:

• Excellent sketching and 2-D visualization skills.
• Strong skills in Rhino, Alias or other 3D surface modeling package.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education:

• Bachelor or higher degree in Industrial Design.
