As an Engineer at Lab126 you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design and bring to market innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

The Role:

Manage the RF and Hardware team responsible for delivering wireless solutions to the product teams.

The Candidate:

This candidate will have a strong background in RF development for cellular products, with experience in GSM and UMTS. Experience with 802.11 and Bluetooth is also desired.

As elements of your daily work, you will:

• Drive the wireless team and take responsibility for the hardware implementation
• Meet with vendors and technology suppliers to select components
• Implement, validate and optimize the RF hardware
• Deliver reference solutions to the product teams
• Support the product development teams from concept, through development, compliance testing, operator testing, ramp and sustaining
• Support the manufacturing and manufacturing test of the product
• Work with Software, PD and compliance teams

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience in RF and wireless hardware design related to GSM/UMTS cellular products
• At least 2 years management experience
• Team lead experience
• Schematic capture and layout expertise
• Record of successful product launch as part of product teams
• Have contacts with key technology suppliers in the RF space
• DFM and high volume manufacturing support experience
• Methodical & scientific test and measurement approach
• Strong analytical skill
• Experience with various RF equipment
• Adept with MS office including Excel

Education:

Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering. Masters Degree Preferred.
