The Kindle team is looking for a talented and experienced individual who can define and lead the reverse logistics operations. The right individual will be able to manage the day to day activities while developing future solutions to meet a rapidly growing business
The Role:
The main purpose of the Reverse Logistics Operations manager is to oversee all aspects of the product returns and warranty recovery business for the Kindle product line. Amazon.Com is the world leader in customer satisfaction and the chosen candidate will be required to develop world class procedures that reduce our overall cost of warranty while meeting and exceeding our customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sustainable systems and processes to manage the Kindle overall warranty value stream
- Drive key metrics around on-time delivery, quality and costs.
- Work closely with cross functional departments to ensure seamless processes/adherence to policies (i.e. Customer Service, Supply Chain, manufacturing, external vendors, etc.)
- Monitor field data and have strong understanding of drivers behind customer returns. Use this data to help engineering and manufacturing drive product and process quality improvements.
- Act as program manager to develop and monitor system changes that reduce costs or result in better process control
Qualifications:
- A degree in Business, Operations Management or Engineering required.
- 7-10 years of business process improvement required
- Previous program management experience working in a global environment highly desired
- Strong group facilitation skills and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to identify and communicate risks to stakeholders, define risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate appropriate business and software solutions.
- Manage cross-functional teams and/or third party-vendors for implementation of project/program requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with team leaders and executives to insure that the project planning and execution process for Amazon.com is optimal, well managed and clearly communicated.
- Must be willing to travel as necessary to meet objectives
