Lab126 is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with a strong delivery focus to drive and own key launches in this space. We are transitioning from a startup model to a more predictable and consistent delivery environment and we need a strong addition with the experience and skills to help make this happen. This role requires someone who can work with ease with product management to define strategy and requirements, and lead cross functional development on new technology from design through delivery. In parallel, the successful candidate will work with remote teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with their launch timelines. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. The ideal candidate is a creative, a demonstrated leader/manager with superior analytical abilities. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The candidate is not just a policy maker/spokesperson but drives to milestones and delivery dates to get things done.Skills/Experience: Qualified candidates will have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets; as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization.Knowledge of the following is required: Project management, release schedules, product development (including C++, Java, XML, messaging protocols, and Web Services), service-oriented architecture. Knowledge of hardware development process and lifecycle is a plus. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant work experience in internet-related project and/or technical product management in a software applications environment.Education: Bachelor degree with a technical discipline, or equivalent experience required.MBA or advanced technical degree desired.
